From cavity treatments with our Solea laser to same-day crowns made while you relax in the chair, we use modern tools and techniques that help keep you more comfortable.

3-D Printing
This advanced technology will allow us to fabricate a variety of dental tools and appliances right here in our dental office.
What We’ll Be Able to Print
- Custom night guards and retainers
- Detailed models for treatment planning
- Surgical guides for implant placement
- Mock-ups for smile design or cosmetic procedures
This means faster turnaround times, fewer outside lab delays, and more personalized results.
Digital X-Rays and Sensors
At Brown & Fortner Dental Group, we use digital x-rays and sensors to get crystal-clear images of your teeth while minimizing radiation exposure. They're faster, safer, and more detailed, which means we can spot issues early and keep your smile in excellent shape.
How Digital X-Rays and Sensors Help
- Detecting Cavities — Even tiny spots of decay between teeth or under existing fillings are easier to spot early.
- Monitoring Bone Health — X-rays help evaluate bone loss from gum disease or before placing dental implants.
- Planning Root Canals — CBCT 3-D x-rays help reveal root canal anatomy and any signs of infection or inflammation.
- Tracking Tooth Development — They're helpful with kids and teens when monitoring growth and eruption patterns.
- Assessing Wisdom Teeth — X-rays show how third molars are positioned and whether they may become impacted.
- Evaluating Trauma or Damage — They identify cracks, fractures, or issues after accidents or injuries.
Solea® Dental Laser
We use the Solea® dental laser for many cavity treatments. This advanced laser technology lets us treat tooth decay quickly, quietly, and often without needles. It’s fast, gentle, and precise, which means less time in the chair and more comfort for you.
CBCT Cone Beam Technology
CBCT cone beam technology produces a 3-D scan of your teeth and jaws. This scanner captures incredibly detailed, 360-degree images to help us plan treatments with pinpoint precision. From dental implant work to All-on-X to root canals, it helps us see the full picture.
How CBCT Technology Helps
- Dental Implants — Maps bone structure for precise implant placement and avoids nerves or sinuses
- Impacted Teeth and Wisdom Teeth — Identifies tooth position and proximity to vital structures for safe extraction planning
- TMJ Disorders — Provides clear imaging of the jaw joint to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Airway and Sleep Apnea Evaluations — Assesses airway anatomy to help diagnose obstructions or sleep-related breathing issues
- Orthodontic Planning— Offers a detailed 3-D view of teeth, roots, and jaw alignment for personalized treatment plans
- Endodontic (Root Canal) Treatment — Reveals hidden canals, fractures, or root irregularities not visible on traditional x-rays
- Pathology Detection — Helps identify cysts, tumors, lesions, or sinus abnormalities
- Bone Grafting — Evaluates bone quality and structure before surgical procedures

Intraoral Camera
We believe in transparency. And what better way to show you what’s going on in your mouth than with an up-close, high-resolution view? Our intraoral camera captures detailed images of your teeth, gums, and other hard-to-see areas.
Why We Use Intraoral Cameras
- You see what we see on a screen in real-time.
- Spot early signs of decay, cracks, or inflammation.
- Visual explanations make treatment plans easier to understand.
- Before-and-after images help you track progress over time.
Now, you can be an active part of your care!
Digital Impressions
With digital impressions, you no longer need to deal with uncomfortable trays filled with sticky, putty-like material. At Brown & Fortner Dental Group, we use digital impressions to make your dental visits easier, cleaner, and more precise. Using a small handheld wand, we gently scan your teeth and gums to capture images for an incredibly accurate 3-D model of your mouth.
This method is much more comfortable, and it improves the fit and function of restorations like crowns, bridges, and clear aligners.
Why Patients Love Digital Impressions
- Mess-Free and Comfortable — There's no messy impression material or gagging.
- Fast and Efficient — Scans take just minutes.
- Extremely Accurate — This leads to better-fitting restorations.
- Easy to Visualize — See your 3-D scan in real time.
- Eco-Friendly — There's no wasteful impression materials.
