Dr. Tyler Brown, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Brown believes that dentistry is the sum of many things - outstanding technology, wonderful and friendly staff, and a welcome and calming approach paired with stellar clinical skills. All of these dynamics come together to create the dental experience, and they all contribute to building long-lasting relationships with patients. Dr. Brown came to Salisbury in 2023 and felt right at home. He started working with Dr. Fortner and purchased his practice in 2025. Dr. Fortner and Dr. Brown practice together, and Dr. Brown feels immense gratitude for Dr. Fortner's mentorship and friendship. Dr. Brown believes that relationships are the heart of everything that we do.
Dr. Brown grew up in central Ohio, and attended Ohio State for both undergrad and Dental school. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and practiced in Circleville, OH, and Anderson, SC, prior to moving to Salisbury in 2023. Continuing to grow and learn is critical to Dr. Brown. While in dental school, Dr. Brown attended the Chicago Implant Institute to learn to place and restore dental implants, and since graduating he has been an avid learner, taking many continuing education courses annually. He loves to learn, and loves to incorporate best practices to get the best possible outcomes. Dr. Brown enjoys implant placement—from single teeth to full arch restorations—prosthetic work with crowns and bridges, cosmetic dental work with veneers and smile designs, endodontics, and general dentistry. He loves technology, from 3-D printing to same-day crowns, and feels that the best outcomes happen when stellar materials and techniques meet modern solutions.
When Dr. Brown is not practicing dentistry, he loves playing the guitar, hiking, and traveling with his wife and son. He has two dogs, and you may see him out walking them around town. Dr. Brown loves music in general, and sings in his church choir with his wife, Bridget.
Dr. Don Fortner, DMD
Dentist
Dr. Fortner believes that the doctor-patient relationship is more than just the time together during the dental appointment. He credits his success in Salisbury to long-term patient relationships, trust, compassion, and working together for an improved dental health plan. According to Dr. Fortner, "We're a dental family," and this commitment is visible to his dental team and patients alike.
Dr. Fortner was born in Charlotte, NC, but spent his childhood in Ennis, Texas (outside of Dallas). He attended undergrad at Baylor University and then received is Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Medical University of South Carolina.
His relationship with his cousin, a dentist in South Carolina, influenced his interest in dentistry at an early age. After graduating from M.U.S.C., Dr. Fortner started his dental career as an associate in Monroe, NC. In 1992, Dr. Fortner came to Salisbury and purchased the practice of Dr. Bobby Lomax, which was established in 1962. Dr. Lomax was a mentor to Dr. Fortner, both clinically and also in the art of the patient relationship. They were a great team for over 20 years.
Dr. Fortner has always incorporated the latest technology into his dental practice, and strives to provide the highest level of care possible. When Dr. Fortner isn't practicing dentistry, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, attending car shows, and spending time with his dogs.
Becky Kluttz
Office Manager
Becky joined our dental team in 2021 with several years of experience working in a general practice office. Becky is highly knowledgeable in dental insurance benefits, treatment options, and scheduling efficiency. She also provides the high level of customer service that our patients enjoy. Becky quickly became a part of our dental family due to her friendliness and outgoing nature and she looks forward to getting to know our patients.
In her free time, Becky enjoys spending time with her children and traveling with her husband.
Annaig Masingo, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
Annaig has been working at this practice since 1997. She started as a dental assistant but quickly felt the desire to move into a career as a dental hygienist. Due to her years with the practice and her shining personality, Annaig has a true following of patients that request her and love working with her. She enjoys treating and educating her patients, as well as catching up on family and life events. Annaig feels that one of the most rewarding parts of her job is the relationship building with her patients.
Annaig is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two sons and their dog, Boots.
Bekah Motley, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
Bekah has been a dental hygienist since 2007 and a part of our team since 2015. She enjoys making connections with her patients and building trust in an effort to provide education and preventative care. She cares deeply about her patients and wants to assist in their overall health.
Bekah enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. She is always looking for fun ways to stay active.
Amanda Sauder, RDH
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amanda joined the Brown and Fortner Dental Group in 2024. She has a BA of Science and earned her RDH degree from GTCC. Amanda is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and educating her patients in preventative care. She is dedicated to providing a gentle approach and ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for every patient. Above all, Amanda enjoys building relationships with her patients.
Amanda is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She is an avid reader and loves to travel.
Mandy Earnhardt, CDA
Dental Assistant
Mandy has been an assistant at our practice for over 30 years. She is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of our treatment, technology, and supplies. Mandy has a wonderful relationship with her patients and values this as one of her favorite aspects of the job. She has a way of making even the most nervous patient feel calm and relaxed during treatment.
From the moment she joined the team, she brought with her a calm confidence and a genuine love for patient care. Her familiar presence has become a part of what makes our office feel like home. Mandy has been married for 40 years. She and her husband love spending time with their family and traveling.
Makayla Strickland, DAII
Dental Assistant
Makayla (Mak) graduated from the RCCC Dental Assisting Program in 2019 and joined the practice to get the best experience in patient care, customer service, and teamwork. Her passion for dentistry was sparked by her mother, who also works in the dental field. Mak gets a lot of positive energy by working with her patients and meeting new people.
She is a dog mom to her dog, Tide, she loves watching Alabama football, and she loves spending time at the beach.
Maria Gregory
Assistant
Following in her mother's footsteps, Maria was first introduced to dentistry at a young age and began working hands-on around 2019. She spent her summers off from school assisting at a dental office and gradually gained chairside experience. While dentistry wasn't originally a part of her long-term plan, it quickly became a true passion.
She understands that visiting the dentist isn't always easy, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that each patient feels comfortable, heard, and valued.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending her free time with her animals and staying active through rodeo, which has been a big part of her life. It has taught her resilience, patience, and dedication—qualities that she carries into her work daily.
Angel Myers, DAII
Dental Assistant
Angel is a recent dental assisting graduate, and is excited to be a part of the team. She loves to learn and expand upon her skills and provide great care. Her interest in dentistry sparked while taking her children to their dentist.
In her free time, Angel loves traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.

This was my first time coming to Dr. Fortner’s office since moving to Salisbury and I could not be more pleased with the amazing staff, the thorough teeth cleaning and examination, and Dr. Brown was very helpful and professional.
